Experience the best of Morocco on a 3-day desert tour to Marrakech from Fes. Ride camels in the Sahara Desert at sunrise and sunset, try sandboarding, stay in a traditional Berber tent, and much more.
Begin with an early morning pickup from your accommodation in Fes. Cross the Saiss Plain and head toward the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing Ifran and Azrou. Keep your eyes peeled for barbary apes on the side of the road and stop for some photos if you see them.
Continue to Midelt, where you will stop for lunch. Then, carry on past the Ziz River and the thousands of tall palm trees to Erfoud, then on to Merzouga and Erg Chebbi, where your camel caravan will be waiting for you.
Watch the colors of the sunset over the dunes as you ride on the back of a camel. Make your way back to the desert camp and freshen up before enjoying your dinner under the stars and listening to music performed by local musicians. Settle in for an overnight stay at the camp.
Enjoy a sunrise camel ride before meeting your guide in Merzouga. Take in the views as you head to your next destination. Admire the oasis of Tinghir where you can take a walk along the banks of the Todgha River.
Visit Berber Villages and learn about the local culture before you visit the Todgha Canyons and stop for some lunch. Drive along the Kasbah Road to Dades Valley where you can visit one of the fortified Kasbahs before arriving at your accommodation for the night where you will also have dinner.

Really nice adventure, you’re driving a lot but get to see loads of landscapes and have a good set of activities! The nightstays let you rest well and the food is tasty, both of it especially on the second evening! Everyone is really kind and you get to hear a lot of history and information, shootouts to our guides Ali and Ibrahim who managed our tour and made our Voyage as comfortable as possible :))
It was a very nice trip. Our driver was Abdul, he told us something about the area at every stop and didn’t stop too often but just right so you don’t have to sit for a long time. Nice activities, the Sahara was my highlight I think. Few points for improvement!
Omar was a good and enthusiastic guide. We saw a lot on the way. The desert was beautiful. A real sand desert. The tent was simple but that was known in advance. The overnight stay at the second location was great. Very nice riad with delicious food. The lunches were a bit more standard but fine. The transport was good. Nice new and clean van. Drove fine. It is a nice way to see a lot of the landscape.
It was a great trip. I am very grateful to the guide Abdul Abderrahman for the excellent organization of the trip. Everything was at the highest level: food, support, hotels. He explained everything clearly and was very polite and friendly. In addition, I want to note the work of the guide in the Todgha Valley. It was an interesting excursion. Also, the overnight stay at the hotel in the Rose Valley exceeded all expectations. A very beautiful hotel with a pool and the best Moroccan food that I tried during my trip to Morocco. The only downside I would note is that I was sent information about the trip late in the evening before the trip and I was a little worried whether it would take place at all.
